When asked about initial interest in the bagpipes, Michael Hyde says, "I've just always liked them. They talk to me. And of course I'm very proud of my Celtic heritage".
As a child he often experienced a pipe band march with his Dad's fire company in New Jersey. As Michael grew up, his interest in the bagpipes did as well. He first purchased a chanter at a Highland Games event and began taking lessons soon after.
Michael has been serving the local communities of Florida since 1998 publicly, from Miami to Daytona to Tampa. He is particularly proud of serving our Veterans and Law Enforcement & Fire Services as acts of community service. In 2006, Michael obtained his occupational license expanding his passion into a career.
"No matter the service, whether it is a wedding or a funeral, the bagpipes lend a solemn dignity."
When he is not piping, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, camping, and riding his Ducati.
